Changelog
- v1.42026-11-08
- Its two extra files (the figures and the translated code) are read from .roms/ as well as roms/.
- The romset can live in any folder of the card. The game looks in .roms/, then roms/, then searches the whole card, and remembers where it found it (.conf/<romset>.loc), so the next start goes straight there; if it is moved, it is searched for again.
- Settings go in .conf/ and romsets in .roms/: the UVMC2's menu hides folders whose name starts with a dot, so the card shows only the games. A card set up before keeps everything: the old config/ and roms/ are still read, and nothing is written to them any more.
- Without the romset on the card the screen says ROM FILE NOT FOUND and the name of the zip it wants.
- v1.32026-11-06
- The game runs at the cabinet's speed: it used to hand the console a picture every time the arcade redrew the screen, almost three times a game frame, and waited for each one, so it played at about half speed. Now one picture a game frame, paced by the machine's own clock, drawn when the console is ready for it.
- The cartridge's processor runs at 300 MHz, which halves the time the emulation and the picture take.
- v1.22026-11-04
- An options screen at start: screen vertical or horizontal (the console on its side), sound through the jack or the Vectrex, refresh 50 Hz, 60 Hz or unlocked, brightness, and calibration. It can be set to stay closed; holding button 4 at launch opens it again.
- A brightness setting that works on every vector the game draws.
- Faster 6502 emulation: memory accesses no longer search the whole handler list.
- v1.02026-09-29
- Test build.
